Center for Undergraduate Research and Engaged Learning
Center for Undergraduate Research and Engaged Learning seeks to enrich the quality of the UCR undergraduate academic experience through high impact educational programs. The Office of Student Engagement’s role is to innovate, redesign, and scale programs focused on leadership, fellowships and national awards, undergraduate research, service, internships, and other strategic initiatives.

Experiential Programs (EXP) (1100 Hinderaker Hall)
- Undergraduate Research
Opportunities for student involvement in undergraduate research including undergraduate research opportunities, Undergraduate Research Journal, Symposium for Research and Creative Activity, and Chancellor's Research Fellowship.
- Prestigious Scholarships and Awards
Support and guidance toward applications for national scholarships, fellowships, and awards are coordinated through the Office of Student Engagement.
- Academic Internships
Academic internships are available through three University of California options: national in Washington DC, state in Sacramento, and local in Riverside.
- Community-Engaged Learning
Expanding and tracking opportunities for student involvement with community service and service-learning through UCR courses.
- R’Courses
One‐unit, student‐taught courses. Students develop courses, submit proposals, receive mentoring and training, and facilitate courses for other students.
