DUE Course Proposal Process

Internal to DUE Requests (DUE staff only)

Step 1:  Express interest to your Associate Dean who consults with the VPDUE

Step 2:  Requestor completes a syllabus, downloads a new course worksheet and supplemental worksheet, and opens them in Adobe.  Requestor completes the fillable forms and saves them to their drive.

Step 3:  Requestor consults with their relevant Associate Dean on step 2 above

Step 4:  Requester emails all documents in step 2 to the VPDUE and Mona Nelson for review

Step 5:  Preparer submits the proposal to the DUE FEC for review/approval. Edits may be required.

Step 6:  VPDUE routes the approved course in the CRS system

Step 7:  Course goes to the Committee on Courses for review/approval

External to DUE Requests

Step 1:  Send an email to the VPDUE and copy Mona Nelson for expressions of interest

Step 2:  Requestor completes a syllabus, downloads a new course worksheet and supplemental worksheet, and opens them in Adobe.  Requestor completes the fillable forms and saves them to their drive

Step 3:  Requester emails all documents in step 2 to the VPDUE and Mona Nelson for review

Step 4:  Preparer submits the proposal to the DUE FEC for review/approval. Edits may be required.

Step 5:  VPDUE routes the approved course in the CRS system

Step 6:  Course goes to the Committee on Courses for review/approval

*All course proposals will be reviewed with DUE's strategic goals in mind, including: boosting graduation rates, reducing equity gaps, and increasing participation in high impact practices.
