Starting college is a huge step, and here at UCR, we want to make sure you have all the tools you need to succeed. That's where the Academic Coaching for Excellence (ACE) program comes in. Think of ACE as your personal guide to navigating the ins and outs of college academics. Our main goal is to help you build the essential study skills and habits that will not only get you through your first year but will stick with you throughout your entire academic journey and beyond. We're here to help you develop the confidence and strategies you need to crush your classes and achieve your academic dreams.

So, how does ACE work? We pair you up with a Peer Mentor, who is an upper-division student who's already been through what you're experiencing. This isn't just about getting advice; your Peer Mentor will provide consistent accountability and support, helping you clarify your academic goals and stay on track to meet them. They'll be there to offer tips, share their experiences, and cheer you on as you develop more effective ways to study, manage your time, and approach your coursework. It's like having an experienced friend who's invested in your success.
