Phong Au-Hong, a junior in the entomology department at the University of California, Riverside, has been awarded one of 20 spots in the Public Policy and International Affairs Junior Summer Institute (PPIA JSI) at Carnegie Mellon University's Heinz College.
Each year, PPIA awards high-potential undergraduate students from universities across the country to participate in an intensive seven-week JSI program before their senior years.
