R’Courses

R’Courses are 1 unit, S/NC offerings facilitated by UCR undergraduate students. Each course has a faculty instructor of record who provides mentoring and support behind the scenes. They are designed to develop leadership skills, innovate the undergraduate curriculum, and promote democratic, experiential education on campus. The Office of Undergraduate Education works with the R’Course Governing Board to review R’Course proposals, coordinate course activities with academic departments, facilitate student recruitment, and provide student facilitator training. For more information about R’Courses, please contact Beth Claassen Thrush (951-827-7739).

Global Issues Forum

A growing number of UCR students from across all disciplines want to know more about current issues impacting communities around the globe.  The Global Issues Forum provides a space for students and faculty to work together on common goals of internationalizing the curriculum and integrating international experiences with academic experiences.  In its inaugural year, the Global Issues Forum has hosted events highlighting immigration, the European economic crisis, and gender equity.  For more information about the Global Issues Forum, please contact Jared Dobbins (Coordinator, Special Programs) at jared.dobbins@ucr.edu or 951.827.7384.
