The ALPHA Center is an infrastructure for establishing long term engagements between faculty/campus personnel and K-12 education. The purpose is to foster collaboration between interested groups, focusing attention and resources to insure a quality education for all students.

Office of Instructional Development
Office of Instructional Development supports instructional innovation and excellence through a variety of instructional innovation programs including grants, development programs, and support services to promote the effective use of current and emerging instructional methodologies, pedagogues, and technologies to enhance teaching and learning opportunities on our campus.
Summer Sessions
Summer Sessions provides students with access to over 350 courses each summer, including many high demand classes.

Undergraduate Research
Undergraduate Education and the Colleges support a variety of programs that allow UCR students to attain a high proficiency in undergraduate research, scholarship and creative activity. Programs match students with faculty mentors, host several l symposia to showcase students' accomplishments, and help to publish an Undergraduate Research Journal containing the highest quality research and scholarly activity completed on campus each year.

University Writing Program
The University Writing Program (UWP) is responsible for administering courses that fulfill the cmapus writing requirement, and for developing initiatives that promote and support writing across the curriculum. UWP also administers the English 1ABC as well as the examinations and courses related to the Entry-Level Writing Requirement (Analytical Writing Placement Exam, Basic Writing3 (ESL Instruction), English Writing 4, and English 5). It also offers workshops, tutorials, and TA-training to departments across the campus to support the expansion of writing-intensive instruction across the curriculum.

Western Association of Schools & Colleges (WASC)
UCR is currently undergoing reaccreditation from Western Association of Schools & Colleges (WASC). The three major themes of the review are: (1) Learning within a Campus Culture of Diversity, (2) Growing and Improving Graduate and Professional Programs, and (3) Improving Undergraduate Student Engagement, Experience, and Learning Outcomes.
